Our 2025 report: what we spent and what changed

Our accounts for 2025 have been independently audited. 86 cents of every dollar went directly to programs in Afghanistan.

Our accounts for 2025 have been audited by an independent firm, and our annual report is now ready.

Where the money went

Of every dollar we spent in 2025:

  • 86 cents went to programs in Afghanistan: teachers' salaries, books, medicines, midwives and mobile clinics
  • 8 cents went to fundraising
  • 6 cents went to administration, including the audit itself

What changed

  • 12,480 children learned in our community classes, up from 10,900 in 2024
  • Our health teams gave 86,300 consultations
  • Our midwives attended 2,140 births

Where we fell short

We planned to open 30 new classes in Ghor, but opened only 18 because two districts could not be reached safely for several months. Those classes are opening this year.

The full report, with our audited accounts, is available on request from our Kabul office.
